Tryst is built to be private by design. We collect as little as possible.
Your age confirmation, access-unlock status, and game progress are stored in your browser's local storage on your own device. This information never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
When two people play a story together, the Site uses a real-time messaging service (Supabase Realtime) to relay your in-game choices between the two browsers during the session. These messages are ephemeral — they are used to sync the live session and are not stored by us as a personal profile. We do not ask for or attach your name, email, or identity to play.
We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or payment information through the Site. We do not sell or share personal data, because we don't gather it.
The Site is hosted on a third-party platform (Vercel) which may automatically record standard technical server logs (such as IP address and request data) for security and reliability, subject to that provider's own privacy practices.
The Site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses only the local-storage values described above to remember your age confirmation and progress.
You can clear all data the Site has placed on your device at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
Questions about privacy can be directed to the Site operator.
